About Us

Paint in Hawaii

Paint in Hawaii provides creative dinner parties with paint and sip events on the Big Island of Hawai'i since Dec 2016. We understand not everyone can visit us here on the island. For this reason, we also offer Online Paint Classes! See our events page for more details!

Professional Artist Katana Leigh walks you through step by step on how to paint while you enjoy dinner and drinks at various venues around the island, or in your home if you join us online!

In addition to public events, Private Lessons and Group Parties are also available in your home or at a beach of your choosing. If you wish to hold a private paint class, either online or in person, please head to our Group Parties page and fill out our form here!

We are currently serving the greater Kailua-Kona area, however we are always looking to bring creativity to more people in Hawaii and around the world through online paint classes. If you are a venue interested in hosting events locally, we encourage you to reach out to us and we will be happy to chat!

Come join us and Let's Paint - IN HAWAII (or online)!

Let us reveal the Artist in You!

Katana Leigh

Artist, & Instructor, Katana Leigh founded Paint in Hawaii in 2016 to make friends who wanted to paint with her.

Katana was born to be an artist. Her mother, also an artist, taught her to draw and paint since she was small, and their happiest memories are painting plein air at Lake Slocan, BC, Canada.

Katana studied general fine art at Emily Carr University, painted with Wyland, who called her a 'good artist,' studied with  Rose Adare, and taught 200+ paint and sip events in the greater Seattle area.

Her art patrons have taken her work to Alaska, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, the continental US, and right here on the Big Island. A truly international artist whose artwork is available by commission only.

Tina Marie

Marketing, Finance, & General Operations Director, Tina Marie, joined the Paint in Hawaii team in Sept 2018.

Once having owned a painting and crafts store, she looks forward to using her years of acquired managerial and finance skills with Paint in Hawaii to help spread the love of painting here on the Big Island.

As more of an abstract artist, Tina looks forward to also evolving her artistic abilities and learning new techniques along the way!
