Paint in Hawaii is a local small business on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are currently operated by two individuals as indicated from our "About" page and those who we allow to volunteer at various events.
At our public local classes, Paint in Hawaii will provide an easel, smock, paint brushes, a 16x20 canvas, paint, napkins, and water for your paint brushes. When attending our events, you will agree to keep used brushes in your water cup to maintain the life of the paintbrush. You also acknowledge that accidents may happen so wearing proper painting attire is recommended.
Food, drinks, or snacks are encouraged to be purchased through the venues that host us as a way to show appreciation of their time and accommodations. When attending a Plein Air excursions, it is recommended to bring something to sit on and something to prop your easel on. You are more than welcome to bring your own food and drinks, location permitting, to Plein Air events.
Our instructor will guide you through each painting step by step which is ideal for those who have never painted before. We gladly welcome those more experienced as well for a fun night out! We strive to provide a fun, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere that promotes peace and harmony. While in attendance, you agree to be respectful and courteous to other painters and to the staff at the venues that host us.
At our web only sessions, Paint in Hawaii will provide instruction step by step and answer any questions along the way. Since these are remote sessions, you will then be required to obtain all supplies separately on your own. While attending a web session, you agree to wear appropriate clothing and refrain from using foul language. Since web sessions are held online, you will agree to respect others privacy and not screenshot or record any part of the session for personal, public, or commercial use.
Paint in Hawaii will gather appropriate photos to utilize on our website, social platforms, and fliers for the purpose to promote our brand and future events. If you wish to be excluded in any of these mentioned, please notify us ahead of time so we can make appropriate arrangements to honor your request.
Violating these terms and/or conducting oneself inappropriately will lead to banishment of future events.
All of our public events and web sessions are expected to be prepaid in advanced so that we can prepare and anticipate for your arrival. These payments are made electronically through Square, Venmo, or $CashApp payment processing applications.
If you prefer to pay cash, we will gladly accept, however, cash reservations do not guarantee seats. Cash reservations and unexpected walk-ins are subject to a $5 increased ticket charge at the door and seats are first come first serve.
If your plans change, we understand. We do ask that you let us know as soon as possible before the event if you are no longer able to attend so we can plan accordingly.
Advanced cancellations qualify for a full refund. No shows after the event will have 3 days to notify us to receive a credit on file for up to 6 months, plus a $5 rescheduling fee. If we do not hear from you, then monies will be forfeited to Paint in Hawaii. Multiple no show's may result in the inability to reserve tickets for a rolling 12 months.
If events fail to sell at least 15 tickets, a cancellation may occur. In the event of a cancellation, a Paint in Hawaii member will contact you via email, text, or phone with your ticket options. At this point, you may request a refund within 72 hours or a credit will remain on file for you for up to 6 months.
Coupons provided to our newsletters subscribers can be applied to oneself and to any guests during the promotional period only and are not to be combined with any other offers or promotions.
Private Lessons require payment upfront and refunds can be provided within 72 hrs advanced notice of any cancellations. Otherwise, you are welcome to reschedule within 3 months for a $25 rescheduling fee.
Group Parties are ideal for parties of 5-6 or more and require a $200 deposit with at least 30 days notice. Without a deposit, we cannot guarantee your preferred date and time. No exceptions. Refunds can be provided within 7 days advanced notice of any cancellations. Otherwise, you are welcome to reschedule within 6 months for a $25 rescheduling fee.
As a small business, sticking to our guidelines will help us continue to function smoothly. This helps to not only support our livelihood and continued growth of Paint in Hawaii, but will also allow us to continue providing a fun and supportive atmosphere for all artists.

We do use 3rd party software to manage and track our communications or payments with our customers. These services include email, email marketing, online storage, payment services, and CRM's as needed.
None of these other software programs have our permission nor are permitted to use or sell our data for any purposes. Their sole purposes is to provide a platform that functions for our general business needs.
